A personal iOS project

Make a little room for what matters

Plenact is a planning app I build in my spare time: a calm place to gather ideas, shape a day, and make the next action easier to see

Built thoughtfully, one useful detail at a time

The idea behind Plenact

Planning that stays understandable

The app connects quick notes, personal lists, and a weekly view without turning them into separate copies of the same work. Each part has a clear job, so a plan can stay useful without becoming another project to manage

A simple model

Three pieces · One clear structure

Each level has a distinct purpose, from the big picture to the next small step

01

Lists organize

Keep related plans together in personal lists and Boards

02

Cards describe activities

Give a plan enough detail to make sense, with room for notes and attachments

03

Checklist items express actions

Break an activity into manageable steps while keeping it part of its Card

Lists organize · Cards describe activities · Checklist items express actions

Designed for personal use

Local-first by design

The featured planning experience stores its Boards on the device. The Week Board and personal collections are separate local stores; there are no production accounts or synchronization in this showcase

This site is a static preview. It does not connect to the shared demo service, collect analytics, or upload app content. The illustrated overview uses fictional example content; the app demo is the owner's local development recording

A real screen recording of the prototype, from capturing an idea to organizing the week and returning to saved work

Read the demo guide
  1. 0:00 Capture activities in Today and mark progress
  2. 0:25 Open a Card, edit its title, add a label and a local member, and explore checklists and comments
  3. 1:19 Browse the Week Board, inspect Card details, and set a date
  4. 2:04 Find a dated Card in the Calendar browser and return to the Board
  5. 2:15 Explore a personal collection and choose a cover illustration
  6. 2:55 Create a local profile, search for a Card, and revisit bookmarks in Saved

Recorded during development · Some screens differ from the latest build, including the Library Saved shortcut

Profiles and member names are local labels, not online accounts or shared collaboration · Card dates and the Calendar browser are not external calendar sync

Follow a family camping idea from a note to a clear plan with manageable actions. The tour combines app screenshots and explanatory illustrations using fictional example content, not a live account or a connection to online data

  1. Make room for what matters and capture a family vacation idea
  2. Keep the details and a camping illustration together in a Note
  3. Give related plans a home in personal lists and Boards
  4. Connect Lists, Cards, and checklist actions without duplicating work
  5. Choose a campsite, pack the essentials, and pick an adventure
  6. Focus on Today, see the Week, and find retained work through Search and Saved
  7. Keep planning local and build carefully around existing work

A project built by doing

Product details meet engineering discipline

Plenact is a personal project in native iOS development. I enjoy working through the full path from a product rule to its data model, screen, accessibility behavior, and regression test

Although the domain is iOS rather than embedded, it exercises engineering habits I value across disciplines: explicit state ownership, stable data contracts, failure-path testing, and predictable behavior

  • SwiftUI screens backed by canonical Board records
  • Care around stable IDs, saved work, attachments, and archive restoration
  • Focused tests for layout, navigation, and data-preserving behavior

This is an independent work in progress; the showcase does not represent a production service
